Stephen Pelkey

Stephen Pelkey is an accomplished pyrotechnic designer, creative director, and industry leader. He has nearly 40 years of experience as a business owner and CEO of one of the largest pyrotechnics companies in the northeast, producing over 18,000 live pyrotechnic events since 1986.

Aside from growing a small family-owned pyrotechnic entertainment company, including designing, and competing in numerous national and international competitions, his greatest accomplishments have been assisting other companies with regulatory compliance issues with the handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials.

Besides his work in the field of pyrotechnic entertainment, Stephen is a licensed private pilot, a United States Air Force veteran, served as an elected NH State Representative, assisted in authoring numerous bills and industry regulations, served as a Trustee at Franklin Pierce University, President of Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce and is currently serving his second term as President of the American Pyrotechnics Association.

Director of Instructional Learning
Katherine Potts

Katherine Potts has a passion for E-Learning and Training Compliance Management, with 8 years of experience working as the Director of Transportation Compliance and Safety for Atlas PyroVision Entertainment Group. Katherine continues to work in higher education as an Assistant Director of Community Living overseeing a campus population of 1600 students. She has facilitated dozens of training seminars for student staff and professional staff members.

Katherine oversees much of the American Pyrotechnics Association – Learning Managements System (LMS) with APA University. She enjoys working with the 200 plus member companies of the APA to assist them with all their LMS training needs.

Katherine is also a licensed pyrotechnician, who has performed in international competitions in DaNang, Vietnam and Montreal, Canada. Katherine also enjoys her passion for competitive equestrian events and lives in Keene, NH with her fiancé.

Director of Marketing
Barbara Pelkey

Barbara Pelkey has served as an Accounting Executive and Director of Marketing at Atlas PyroVision Entertainment Group for over 15 years. She has creative marketing instincts that has assisted in an increase of 80 percent in retail sales since 2015.

Barbara earned her B.S. in Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University, including an associate degree in Business Administration from Endicott College.

Barbara is also a licensed pyrotechnician and has a commercial driver’s license with a hazmat endorsement. She also is a national and internationally awarded synchronized figure skater with the United States Figure Skating Association.
